Flipster at Taipei Blockchain Week 2025

Flipster at Taipei Blockchain Week 2025

Taipei Blockchain Week is one of the most anticipated gatherings in Asia’s crypto calendar, drawing founders, traders, policymakers, developers, and investors from across the globe. This year, conversations stretched from stablecoin adoption to DeFi design to what’s next for exchanges. For Flipster, it was an opportunity to not just share our vision, but to listen, learn, and engage with people who are actively shaping the future of trading and digital finance.

Our presence spanned the full three days, from booth activations to headline panels, to intimate networking evenings and hands-on trading education. Each touchpoint gave us a chance to connect with people at different stages of their journey, whether seasoned industry veterans or students exploring crypto for the first time.

On the ground: our booth presence

TBW l Booth

Our booth was the heart of our presence during the week. Visitors stopped by to learn more about Flipster, to understand what zero-spread trading really means, and to see how we’re working to give traders an edge in volatile markets. Many had already heard of us, but for others, it was their first interaction, a chance to ask questions directly and see the personality behind the platform. These exchanges gave us valuable feedback on what resonates most with traders when they first encounter Flipster.

To make the experience even more engaging, we ran interactive activations and live giveaways throughout the event. From limited-edition Flipster merch to lucky draw prizes, there was always a reason to stop by and stay for a conversation. What stood out most wasn’t just the prizes themselves, but the diversity of people drawn in, from university students curious about perpetuals to seasoned traders looking for performance-driven platforms. The range of conversations reinforced that crypto in Taiwan and across Asia is alive with energy across all ages and backgrounds.

Taking the stage: conversations that matter

Across multiple days, Flipster leaders contributed to key discussions on some of the most pressing questions facing the industry today. More than abstract debates, these conversations were rooted in the real problems traders, builders, and regulators are working through in live markets.

Flipster l Speakership 1

On Day 1, our General Manager of the UAE, Benjamin Grolimund, joined the panel Global Liquidity, Local Utility: Payments in a Decentralized World. The conversation examined how stablecoin innovation is evolving at the intersection of financial inclusion, regulatory pressure, and cross-border payments.

Benjamin spoke on how infrastructure can be designed to solve the “last mile” problem of converting stablecoins into local fiat, why user experience is as critical as technology in adoption, and how regional currency risks can be mitigated through thoughtful stablecoin design. These discussions underscored how stablecoins can reach those currently excluded from traditional finance while still maintaining compliance and stability.

On Day 2, our Head of Product, Youngsun Shin, joined a fireside chat on How Real Trader Pain Points are Shaping the Next Generation of Trading Infrastructure. The session dove into what traders actually need: seamless onboarding, deep liquidity, and reliable execution under pressure.

Youngsun emphasized that infrastructure innovation doesn’t start with technology for its own sake, it begins with understanding where traders struggle today. That might mean addressing fragmentation between platforms, reducing hidden costs of execution, or simplifying interfaces without compromising on speed or control. The discussion highlighted how exchanges that truly listen to traders will set the standard for the next wave of infrastructure.

Side events: where conversations deepened

Conferences are about more than what happens on stage. They’re also about the smaller, more personal exchanges where ideas can be tested and collaborations sparked. Throughout the week, Flipster participated in several side events that created space for these moments.

TBW l Freestyle Classic

On Day 1, we hosted FreeStyle Classic: Above the Blocks, a private evening in Taipei that brought together key voices across the industry. Over fine dining, conversations moved beyond surface-level topics into deeper reflections on where crypto is heading and what challenges lie ahead. A lucky draw added a lighthearted moment, but the true highlight was the quality of dialogue, the type of open exchange that can only happen when people gather in a more intimate setting.

TBW I MrBlock Summit

On Day 2, we joined the MrBlock Summit: Nodes Among Us, where we once again took the stage.

TBW I Speakership 3

Benjamin spoke on The Future of Exchanges, exploring how platforms can truly differentiate themselves, whether through liquidity depth, risk transparency, or UX.

TBW I Speakership 4

Youngsun followed with a session on Next-Generation DeFi, offering a vision of how innovations like account abstraction and smarter compliance tools could make decentralized finance usable at scale. Both sessions sparked meaningful questions from the audience, and the networking afterwards extended the conversations well into the evening.

TBW I BlockTempo Side Event

On Day 3, we wrapped up with Tempo House: Future Pioneer Night, co-hosted with BlockTempo. This gathering had a very different energy, a chance to unwind, connect across fields and geographies, and spark conversations in a more relaxed setting. Between music from the DJ booth, interactive activities, and lighthearted games like the claw machine, the evening created a space where unexpected ideas and new collaborations could surface naturally.

Hands-on trading education in Taiwan

One of the most impactful parts of the week was when Flipster co-hosted a live trading workshop with Node Z, DA Capital, and students from National Chengchi University and National Taiwan University. While panels and talks are essential, there’s nothing quite like rolling up sleeves and learning by doing.

TBW I Node Z 1

The workshop gave participants a chance to see real markets in motion, practice strategies in a live environment, and talk openly about how to manage risk. For some students, it was their first time moving from theory to actual practice, and the excitement in the room was palpable. The day underscored our belief that education is not about memorizing strategies but about building confidence, helping people make thoughtful decisions in unpredictable markets.

Initiatives like this are part of Flipster’s broader commitment to making trading knowledge accessible. By investing in education across Asia, we aim to give the next generation of traders not just the technical skills, but the mindset to navigate fast-moving digital markets. It’s about equipping them for the long term, so they can trade with both precision and resilience.

Next stop: Token2049 Singapore

Taipei Blockchain Week showed the best of what crypto gatherings can be. From packed panels to booth-floor conversations to workshops that lit up new possibilities, every interaction reminded us why this industry continues to inspire. We left Taipei encouraged, not only by the progress being made, but by the energy and creativity of those driving it forward.

For Flipster, this was a meaningful moment to show up, contribute, and learn alongside people who care deeply about where trading and digital markets are heading. Next, we’ll be at Token2049 Singapore in just a few weeks, where the global crypto world will once again converge. We’re excited to keep building connections, advancing education, and pushing forward the boundaries of what’s possible in trading.

See you in Singapore!
