Intro

Aethir (ATH) is a decentralized cloud computing infrastructure platform designed to optimize the utilization of GPU resources for enterprise applications, particularly in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and cloud gaming. Through a decentralized architecture, Aethir provides scalable, high-performance computing solutions that can reduce costs and improve accessibility for businesses and developers across the globe.

Aethir was co-founded by Daniel Wang and Mark Rydon. Daniel Wang, a seasoned leader in gaming and technology, has held prominent positions such as Partner at Mythos Ventures and VP at IVC. His extensive experience includes roles as CIO at W3GG and Head of International Publishing at Riot Games. Mark Rydon, with a background in blockchain and Web3 innovations, has contributed to major infrastructure projects at Bechtel Corporation and developed medical wearables as CEO of Kulture Athletics..

A decentralized GPU computing platform offering Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS), Aethir supports a wide range of applications, including real-time cloud rendering, AI solutions, and cloud gaming. By utilizing a network of independently operated GPU nodes, Aethir delivers scalable and cost-efficient computing resources. Users can interact with Aethir’s services through the Aethir Edge device, developed in collaboration with Qualcomm, which allows individuals to contribute excess GPU capacity and bandwidth to the network.

Aethir’s ability to democratize access to enterprise-grade GPU computing power through a decentralized infrastructure, supports high-demand applications such as AI and cloud gaming, by pooling processing power from a distributed network of GPUs. Aethir’s approach not only reduces costs but also enhances scalability and accessibility.

The Aethir Edge device and Checker Nodes are pivotal components of the platform’s infrastructure. The Aethir Edge device, leveraging Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chipset, enables users to contribute their GPU resources to the network, earning rewards in ATH tokens. Checker Nodes monitor the network’s performance, ensuring high-quality service delivery. These nodes play a critical role in maintaining the network’s stability and efficiency, further incentivized by receiving a portion of the ATH token supply  .

The ATH token serves multiple functions within the Aethir ecosystem, including as a medium of exchange, governance token, and staking asset. The total supply of ATH tokens is capped at 42 billion, with the distribution designed to support various aspects of the network.

51.2% of the total token supply is allocated to reward participants who contribute to the decentralized cloud infrastructure. 28.8% of the total token supply is reserved for investors and team members. 20% of the total token supply is allocated for ecosystem development, governance, and airdrops.
