- Intro
Renzo (REZ) is a liquid derivative platform built on EigenLayer, enhancing ETH staking by securing Actively Validated Services (AVS) and offering higher yields.
REZ, the native utility and governance token for the Renzo protocol, is used for governance voting, such as general risk management frameworks, AVS whitelisting, and treasury and community grants.
An EigenLayer liquid restaking hub, Renzo supports native restaking on multiple networks beyond Ethereum, including Arbitrum, Blast, Linea, Mode, Base and BNB Smart Chain. Users who stake ETH or LSTs receive an equal amount of ezETH, the liquid staking token that represents their restaked position at Renzo, with rewards earned reflected in the price of ezETH.
Renzo Protocol is a layer on top of EigenLayer that users can interact with, removing the complexities of the protocol for a simplified user experience. Users who restake directly from layer 2 networks or EVM-compatible layer 1 chains can also enjoy much lower transaction costs compared to traditional Ethereum transactions, enhancing user access.
As a strategy manager for EigenLayer, Renzo optimizes the risk and reward profile by picking the best AVS combination on EigenLayer, to support ezETH in generating yield with the least amount of risk.
Participants of the Renzo ecosystem can earn ezPoints, such as through the referral system, by inviting other users to deposit ETH.
